North Korea Expert Lawrence Peck

Lawrence Peck, a native of Los Angeles, California, has intensively researched and monitored pro-North Korean activities in the U.S. for over 25 years. He has a B.A. degree in Political Science from UCLA and a Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School. He has been recognized by many in the U.S. and Korea as the leading expert on pro-North activities in the U.S., and the foremost authority on pro-North groups and activists operating here.

For six years, he lived and worked in South Korea for some large conglomerates, and he continues to visit there on a regular basis to give lectures and participate in seminars hosted by think tanks and conservative, pro-U.S. groups. He is an active member of various patriotic and conservative Korean and American organizations in both the U.S. and Korea, and serves as an advisor to the North Korea Freedom Coalition of Washington, D.C.

His articles, interviews, and reports based on his research, have appeared in prestigious Korean newspapers, magazines and websites, and he has often been interviewed by Korean TV and radio news programs in both Korea and the U.S. He has received awards and commendations for his work in exposing and opposing pro-North forces here, and has written several columns for the conservative website Townhall.com, as well as for Newsweek and JNS.org.

In recent years, Lawrence has increasingly focused on unmasking the collaboration between pro-North forces and North Korean intelligence agents based at the U.N. and the political influence operations of pro-North groups and activists here, especially their lobbying of Congress. He is proud of the fact that pro-North activists consider him a serious threat to their movement, and that they have denounced him with all the typical communist invective at their disposal.
