The Fentanyl Epidemic: Hard Truths, Myths and Reasons for Hope

Fentanyl is the leading cause of death for Americans between the ages of 18-45. And the number of deaths is rising every day. Who is to blame and how can it be stopped?

Adam Gordon is the Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of California, which is at the epicenter of this deadly drug battle. In that position, he is responsible for coordinating law enforcement efforts to combat the fentanyl epidemic. He currently leads two task forces in the Southern District specifically targeting those drug dealers who provide deadly doses of fentanyl.

Prior to serving as a federal prosecutor, Adam was a Deputy District Attorney in San Diego County where among other assignments he worked in the Gang Unit and Superior Court Unit.

Mr. Gordon will explain why Fentanyl is so lethal, how it gets into our country, and what parents can do to protect their children.
