From helping design and build fueling system infrastructure for rocket programs, to lowering our cost of living in City Hall, Jason has spent his life solving tough problems and serving his community.

Jason Gibbs isn’t a career politician. He is an engineer in the aerospace industry, a local leader, and a father of two running to bring common-sense, local values to Washington. As a Santa Clarita City Councilmember and former Mayor, Jason has built a record of delivering results-on public safety, job creation, and protecting the high quality of life that makes this district such a great place to live. Jason is deeply involved in local nonprofits, the Boys and Girls Club, and business organizations that serve the community.

Now he’s taking that fight to Congress, in what remains one of the most competitive districts in California, even post redistricting. CA-27 includes the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita (1/3rd of the district), and part of northern Los Angeles County — and it will help determine control of the U.S. House in 2026.

Jason’s Priorities:

LOWER COSTS FOR MIDDLE CLASS FAMILIES: California families are being squeezed by rising prices on housing, gas, groceries, and energy. Jason will fight to lower costs, oppose new taxes, and hold government accountable. He brings real world budgeting discipline to DC and believes our national debt is a multi-generational economic and security threat.

SAFER NEIGHBORHOODS AND LAW ENFORCEMENT SUPPORT: Everyone deserves to feel safe at home, at school, and in their neighborhood. Jason will support law enforcement, stop soft-on-crime policies, and back our first responders. Public safety isn’t partisan-it’s common sense.

BORDER SECURITY & IMMIGRATION REFORM: Our broken border threatens public safety and legal immigration alike. Jason will fight to stop fentanyl trafficking, close loopholes, and enforce the law. He supports a legal, orderly system that protects all Americans.

LOCAL CONTROL, NOT TOP-DOWN MANDATES: Jason believes decisions about schools, housing, and safety should be made by local communities-not unelected bureaucrats in Sacramento or Washington. He’ll fight top- down mandates and defend local voices. One size never fits all.

PARENTAL RIGHTS AND SCHOOL TRANSPARENCY: Every student deserves a great education, and every parent deserves a voice. Jason supports school transparency, strong standards, and more career and technical pathways. Education should prepare kids for life-not push a political agenda.

Over his 36-year career with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, he served in patrol, investigations, training, and leadership roles before being elected Sheriff in 2018.

During his first term, he issued a record 4,600 CCWs, restored public safety in high-crime areas like Venice Beach by clearing out dangerous encampments, and reduced violent crime in targeted enforcement zones. Under his leadership, LASD made significant strides in combating organized retail theft, expanded community engagement programs, and held criminals – not law-abiding citizens – accountable. Villanueva is a proven, decisive leader with the experience and courage to protect our communities and defend our constitutional rights.

Alex’s wife, Vivian, also served in the department and retired in 2018. Her love for nature and passion for animal rescue goes unnoticed. They have a loving rescue dog named Simon.

“The Whistleblowers vs. The Big Guy: Two Special Agents, the Biden Crime Family, and a Corrupt Bureaucracy”

Joe Ziegler and Gary Shapley made headlines when they testified before Congress, revealing political interference, bureaucratic stonewalling, and outright obstruction in the Hunter Biden criminal case. Despite overwhelming evidence, they watched as the system bent to protect the powerful, with the IRS, FBI, and DOJ failing to act as independent institutions. Their investigation ultimately led to Hunter Biden’s federal conviction. But in a stunning last-minute move, President Joe Biden pardoned his son-then went even further, issuing blanket pardons to other family members before leaving office. But this isn’t just about Hunter Biden. It’s about two public servants who risked everything to expose corruption. Facing retaliation, isolation, and intense public scrutiny, Shapley and Ziegler take readers inside the high-stakes battle between truth and power. Packed with never-before-revealed details and explosive insider accounts, The Whistleblowers vs. The Big Guy is a must-read for anyone who wants to understand how the system protects its own-and what it takes to fight back.

Joseph Ziegler grew up in Kirtland, Ohio, and graduated from Ohio University in 2007 with a BS in Accounting. He worked as an external auditor at Earnst & Young LLP, handling clients like the Cleveland Clinic and Lincoln Electric, while earning his MBA from John Carroll University in 2009. Joe joined IRS-CI in 2010, specializing in healthcare fraud and prescription drug diversion. In 2016, he transferred to the Atlanta Field Office, working on complex captive insurance tax shelter cases while serving as the public information officer.

In November 2018, he initiated the Hunter Biden case and joined the International Tax & Financial Crimes Group (ITFC) in Washington, D.C. Often called the “Seal Team 6 of the IRS,” this elite unit investigates high-level tax fraud and financial crimes worldwide. Joe was recently elevated as a senior advisor (detailee) by the Secretary of the Treasury.

What Would It Take To End the California Housing Crisis?

M. Nolan Gray is the author of Arbitrary Lines: How Zoning Broke the American City and How to Fix. His book shows why zoning abolition is a necessary condition for a new renaissance in American cities. The arbitrary lines of zoning maps across the country have come to dictate where Americans may live and work, forcing cities into a pattern of growth that is segregated and sprawling.

The good news is that it doesn’t have to be this way. Reform is in the air, with cities and states across the country critically reevaluating zoning.

And as Los Angeles begins the process of rebuilding the Palisades and Altadena, Mr. Gray also sets out some of the efforts currently underway to reform zoning around the country and charts how land-use regulation might work in the post-zoning American city.

Mr. Gray is a professional city planner and an expert in urban land-use regulation. He is currently completing a Ph.D. in urban planning at the University of California, Los Angeles. Gray previously worked on the front lines of zoning as a planner in New York City. He now serves as an Affiliated Scholar with the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, where he advises state and local policymakers on land-use policy. Gray is a contributor to Market Urbanism and a widely published author, with work appearing in outlets such as The Atlantic, Bloomberg Citylab, and The Guardian. He lives in Los Angeles, California and is originally from Lexington, Kentucky.

A member of the California State Assembly once introduced Dr. Tony Fellow as the “pillar of the San Gabriel Valley.” His community and professional involvement have certainly touched upon the most important elements of a community—water, education and government.

Fellow was elected to the Upper San Gabriel Municipal Water District in 1990. He was instrumental in establishing the district’s first water recycling program which would save the greater San Gabriel Valley during the nine-year drought, conservation education programs, and a reforestation project in the Angeles National Forest. His 24-yearappointment as director and vice-chair of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California gave him a wider reach to inaugurate programs that would benefit Southern California. Today he is also Chair of all water agencies in Los Angeles and Ventura counties who are members of the Association of California Water Agencies.

In 1996 he was elected to the El Monte City Council where he served for 12 years. In 2007 Arcadia voters overwhelmingly elected Fellow to the Pasadena City College Board of Trustees.

Fellow was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and grew up in El Monte. After graduating with his bachelor’s degree and Lifetime Secondary Teaching Credential, he worked as a reporter at the San Gabriel Valley Tribune. He was promoted to assistant city editor and columnist, and head of the political election team covering the presidencies of Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter.

He holds a doctorate from the Walter H. Annenberg College of Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California where he was an Annenberg Scholar. He also holds three master degrees in Communications and just completed a three-year post-doctoral degree in Catholic Theology and Sacred Scriptures at St. Joseph’s College of Maine. At USC and Cal State Fullerton, he taught courses in media history, media law and First Amendment rights, international communications and media and politics. He is an international Fulbright Scholar having taught in Rome, Florence, Vercelli, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. At an international conference in Rome, he was named one of America’s Distinguished Professors.

He is author of American Media History, Tweeting to Freedom: An Encyclopedia of Citizen Protests and Uprisings Around the World, Copy Editor’s Handbook for Newspapers, and Writing in a Multimedia World. He is currently working on how today’s news media is destroying American democracy. He speaks frequently at the annual Broadcast Education Association conference in Las Vegas. Last year he spoke about the impact of Artificial Intelligence on the First Amendment.
