Long a hotbed of Lincoln Club and Republican activity, the South Bay stretches from Los Angeles International Airport through the beach cities of Redondo, Manhattan & Hermosa Beach to Torrance and the strongly Republican Palos Verdes Peninsula.

Founding Lincoln Clubs Chairman Julian Virtue began organizing a Lincoln Club here a quarter century ago. His son and current Lincoln Clubs Chairman Robert A. Virtue served as Chapter Chairman throughout the 1990’s until being elevated to Chairman of the countywide organization in January 1998.

The current South Bay Chapter Chairman is Robert Holmes. Appointed in January 2002, Mr. Holmes is owner of Strategic Management Group, an established community leader and a twelve-year veteran of the Manhattan Beach City Council. The gregarious and eternally optimistic Holmes has built the South Bay Chapter into the third largest of our eleven chapters.

The South Bay Chapter meets every month always for lunch on the third Friday of the month. For information, call 323-215-4500 or email pbylsma@laclc.org.
